William H. Oast III

Estate Planning & Probate

For the thirteenth year, Bill Oast has been selected by his peers as a Super Lawyer in Estate Planning & Probate. Bill’s practice areas include Estate, Trust & Fiduciary Litigation, Guardianships & Conservatorships, Estate & Trust Administration, and Estate Planning. In the 1990s, Bill became one of the first attorneys in Virginia to dedicate his practice to the emerging field of Elder Law, and he was a founding member of the Virginia Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.

Stephen E. Taylor

Stephen Taylor has been selected as a Virginia Rising Star in Elder Law for the seventh consecutive year. He has also been selected as a North Carolina Rising Star for the fourth consecutive year. Stephen’s areas of practice include Elder Law, Estate Planning, Estate & Trust Administration, Long-term Care Planning, and Special Needs Planning. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Virginia Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.

Sandra L. Smith

Sandy Smith was recognized for the sixth consecutive year as a Super Lawyer in Elder Law. She has twice been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Top 50 Women honoree, and was honored as a member of the “Influential Women in Virginia” by Virginia Lawyers Weekly in 2014. Sandy’s practice areas include Elder Law, Estate Planning, Estate & Trust Administration, Special Needs Planning, Long-term Care Planning, and Veterans Benefits Planning.

M. Bradley Brickhouse

Estate & Trust Litigation

For the seventh consecutive year, Brad Brickhouse has been selected as a Rising Star in Estate & Trust Litigation. His areas of practice include Guardianships & Conservatorships, Estate, Trust & Fiduciary Litigation, Financial Abuse, Estate and Trust Disputes, and Will Contests. In 2018, Brad was appointed to the Economic Development Authority by the City Council of the City of Chesapeake.
